Payment:
- Is it safe to use my credit card on MAXbarbell.com?
Yes, payments are processed through PayPal (www.paypal.com) or Google Checkout, using their secure websites. We never see your credit card information; therefore we don’t store any credit card information.
- What form of payment options does MAXbarbell.com accept?
MAXbarbell.com provides payment solutions through PayPal and Google Checkout. You can submit payment using your Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discovery Card or PayPal account. (Please note, you do not need a PayPal account if you choose the Paypal option).
- I haven't heard of you guys before. Is it safe to buy from you?
We know how it is. You find a great product at a great price, but it’s from a website you are not familiar with. You would feel a whole let better if you were buying from a big name store that you have heard of before.
Well, we can tell you a few things that may allay your fears. We opened for business in February 2010 and since that time our company has built a bit of a reputation for awesome customer service, great products, and mind-blowing value. Be sure to Google our name and see if you can find what some of our customers have to say on the forums, etc.
Also, know that we are PayPal and Google Checkout verified. And keep in mind that if you pay via PayPal you are protected by their Purchase Protection policy. That means if you buy something that never arrives, or if it arrives significantly different than described, you're eligible for a full refund. Follow this link to learn how to open a dispute. Rest assured that you won’t need this protection when you shop at MAXbarbell.com.
We aspire to be the Zappos of strength training, so excellent customer service is paramount. We will do anything necessary to ensure your happiness. We are trying to build our reputation at the moment so that more people will be familiar with our name. If you are happy with our products and or service, we encourage you to post a review somewhere or share your experience on a social network, etc.
- Do you offer discounts for purchasing multiple pairs?
Yes. If you plan on buying 4 or more pairs, please contact us for special pricing.
Shipping:
- Does MAXbarbell ship outside of the
United States
No worries! Be sure to select the appropriate shipping option from the dropdown in Step 2 of the checkout process (i.e. before you pay). Please note that MAXbarbell is not responsible for any hold-ups at customs or taxes/duties that may be incurred in your country. Please refer to your country’s customs agency if you have any doubts.
- How does MAXbarbell ship the weightlifting shoes?
We usually use USPS priority mail. In most cases this shipping method will get you your shoes in 2-3 business days. We will occasionally use UPS ground shipping if it makes sense due to cost benefits (e.g. for bigger packages).
Weightlifting Shoes questions:
- Can I wear my weightlifting shoes for activities other than weightlifting?
Every sport has its specialty shoes. Cleats for soccer. Slippers for ballet. Skates for hockey. We don't recommend you wear any of these specialty shoes outside the sport’s arena, be it the soccer field, dance studio or ice rink. Likewise, we don't recommend wearing your weightlifting shoes outside the gym. They will last longer and suffer less wear and tear if you only wear them when you plan to put some serious weight on them.
- How should I clean my shoes?
As far as cleaning, we recommend a damp cloth every now and then. Don't put them in the washing machine as this will ruin the most important part of the shoe, the sole.
- Which country are Wei-Rui shoes made in?

- Your shoes are cheap. How is the quality?
We do everything in our power to keep down our prices. While our prices are low, our quality is still excellent. Some of our earlier shoes have been used by weightlifting clubs around the country and are subjected to daily wear.
The quality of our latest batch of weightlifting shoes is outstanding. Wei-Rui has really refined their manufacturing process and this has made for a better shoe. Improvements can be seen all-round: toe cap, heel, and the overall construction.
- How do your shoes compare to other brands.
It seems that the most popular weightlifting shoes out there are the Do-Win/Pendlay Barbell series. Pendlay’s are certainly good shoes and worthy of anyone’s consideration. Here are few images to show how the Wei-Rui’s compare for heel height:

6) Do you guys ship shoes to Canada/Europe/Australia/my country?
We do ship to Canada/Europe/Australia/your country. If you do purchase from us, please select the appropriate choice from the shipping drop-down during the checkout process. The cost of shipping to Canada and Mexico is $29.95, all other countries is $39.95. We are not responsible for any taxes or duties that your country may impose.
Exchanges and Returns:
Buying shoes online without trying them on first can be risky and we understand that. That’s why our exchange/returns policy attempts to eliminate as much of the hassle as possible. If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with your shoes simply email us at returns@maxbarbell.com with your original order number (listed on the packing slip that came with your shoes or your purchase confirmation email) and whether you need an exchange or a return. We will reply with a return mailing address. Mail the shoes to the address.
For exchanges, please send along a note which specifies the replacement size. We will send you a new pair of shoes within 48 hours of receiving the returned pair. You will NOT be charged any additional shipping charges. However, any shipping costs that you incur to return the original shoes to us will not be reimbursed.
For returns, we will process a refund for 100% of your purchase price within 48 hours of receiving the returned shoes. We will also refund any shipping charges. You will NOT be charged a restocking fee. However, any shipping costs that you incur to return the shoes to us will not be reimbursed.
For both exchanges and returns, please ensure that the shoes are in their original condition and have not been worn, except to try on. When trying on, please ensure that you are on a carpeted surface and are wearing clean socks to avoid spoiling the sole and inner of the shoe.
