Size Guide

SABO lifting shoes are built on Russian whole sizes (size 34 - 47). The table below shows the conversion of Russian to US men's and women's sizes. Since every foot is three-dimensional and varies across many different areas (such as width, instep etc), conversion tables can only approximate your true shoe size.

    RUS US men's US women's

    35 3.5 - 4 5 - 5.5
    36 4.5 6

I like everything about these shoes. I have been using a previous model of the Romaleos. These have a larger toe box. I also like the mid-height. They are grippy and very stable laterally, although the soles are a hair narrower at the mid-foot. The upper tarsal strap is sturdy and well-positioned; the lower one is fine but unneeded. The laces are very nice. These shoes look nice generally and should last.

Size chart + sizing question

Hi! My foot is 29.2 ~ 29.5 centimeters, which, according to some online calculators, would be around 12.5 ~ 13 (US men´s).

Checking your size chart for this shoe (PowerLift Pro), in theory, the size that would fit me would be 46.5 (RUS), would you recommend going for 47 (RUS) since it covers 13 (and 13.5) in US men´s size?

Yes, I would recommend going for size 47.

I love these shoes! Took em through the Tom Platz leg workout and the shoes kept my heels down. Highly recommended!

A note on sizing

Leaving a second review to add something I left out because there isn't a way to edit reviews. The sizing chart on here will put you on the higher end of the half size range. In other words, this 47 RU which says it's around 13-13.5 US is closer to a 13.5. If I had a normal 13 foot the 46 would have fit me better, however with my wider toes the 47 is right on. Just wanted to add that since I personally agonized over which size to get before finally ordering!

Also the top strap is indeed too long as people said about the original non-pro Powerlifts, and there's a 3-4 inch length in the middle that has no velcro. This means when I pull the strap as tight as possible on my foot, there are only 1-2 inches of contact on the velcro strip holding it in place. This hasn't caused me any problems, however if you have a slender foot, this may make it hard to tighten the strap fully. Anyway great shoe and this issue is only minor.
